As we enter the holiday season and offer up a prayer on this 2017 Thanksgiving Day…I wanted to take a few moments to remember and honor my grandfather – Frank Civitano. Life truly is so short and memories so precious…..my memories are within the smiles and photo’s of the past…with out them I would not know him. I never met my grandfather since he passed before I found my birth family. However as I said, through the wonderful photo’s and stories that have been shared with me, as my research reveals and uncovers so many stories and other wonderful information…I have come to a place of really feeling like he truly touched my life in a very real and personal way. Today, the anniversary of his passing, falls on Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for Frank and all my Civitano family that have entered my life with thankfulness that I am a part of their lives.

What a handsome man—from childhood through adulthood. I am sorry you never met him, but how fortunate you are to have these photos and to know his story. Your research is wonderful, Sharon, and I know how much it enriches your life. Happy Thanksgiving!

Also, are you not using tabs and categories on purpose?

Honestly Luanne, I can’t figure out how to use tabs or categories. Some things I need a hands on lesson. Any suggestions on how to figure it out?

He sure was a good looking young man! I absolutely drool over the dress of Julia’s and I agree, I can almost feel the velvet of my grandmother’s dress. My Uncle said he remembers it being a gorgeous dark green. Thanks for checking in on the post Luanne and enjoying it.

You know the color of the dress! That is so great! I always have loved jewel-tone velvet. I digress but (oh well!) in junior high for winter formal, I made a royal blue velvet dress and my best friend(‘s mother) made a dark green velvet. I loved them both!
